My newest book "Introduction to Western Astrology" went out of print in Bulgaria in May 2010.
What is it all about and how it happened: This book is a serious work in astrology. It contains about 600 pages, large format. It is intended to serve as a self-guide and reference book for anyone, who wants to learn more about astrology. It is primarily focused on beginners; however its interpretational part will be very beneficial even for people who have done some studies in this area. Its subheading reads “Learn how to Interpret Your Natal Chart by Yourself” and this is in fact the motto of the book. The first part contains concise guidance on how to calculate correctly your own natal chart. What is needed is the date, the time and the place of birth. I have tried to keep the calculation part to a bare minimum. At the same time the need to obtain an accurately calculated chart is not compromised in any way. It is imperative to get this right before proceeding to the interpretational part. I am showing the reader how to get their chart calculated accurately, using three different tools. Two of them are free internet based online chart calculators and the third one is the astrology program Astro123. It also can be freely downloaded on the web. One of the online calculators is based in Bulgaria, the other one is the popular astro.com. The idea is that if the reader calculates a chart three times, using three different methods and obtains exactly the same results each time, then the calculations are correct. A discrepancy in the planets’ positions or the degree of the rising sign in any of the methods indicates that a mistake has been made somewhere. It certainly needs to be rectified before proceeding further. The procedures are really simple and very easy to follow. Anyone with a computer and an internet connection should be able to do this in no longer than 15-30 minutes. Once the reader is absolutely certain that his or her chart is calculated correctly they can proceed to read the respective texts from the book, corresponding to their personal chart. Here we have to make the clarification that although the book consists of 600 pages, the reader is not required to read it from cover to cover. This book is essentially a reference guide. It contains all possible interpretations for the Sun, Moon and other planets in signs, houses and planetary aspects. It is necessary to read these texts only that are pertaining to the reader’s chart or that to his partner, parents, children, friends and so on. The book went out of print in Bulgaria in May 2010. I was there for the opening and the presentation. Its appearance on the market created great interest in the astrology circles, among the population and in the media. I was shown several times on the television, numerous newspapers wrote articles about it or asked me for an interview and I appeared several times on the radio. Some of these have been recorded and are placed in the Bulgarian version of my web site. My name as a famous astrologer started circulating in Bulgaria mainly in 2006 when I printed a serious scientific paper of about 70 pages in another book called “The date of birth of Bulgaria”. Back then, together with other colleagues, we put forward the idea that it is possible, using astrology techniques to determine the exact moment when the Bulgarian nation was born. This is extremely difficult to do for old countries like Bulgaria, which have been established 14 centuries ago, but it is possible. I am using the time and date proposed by the rector of the Moscow Academy of Astrology Mr. Michail Borisovich Levin, which is 24th of April 680 AD, at 11.56 PM LMT, at Pliska, Bulgaria. The usefulness of this technique is that once this initial moment is known, we can easily forecast any future trends in the country. So, based on this chart I predicted very accurately some very important events about the political trends of this nation. For example, based on this chart I predicted the exact date when Bulgaria is going to join the European Union. This prognosis was made long time before anyone had any idea when (and if at all) this is going to happen. Later on Bulgaria was accepted as a member of EU on 1st of January 2007, exactly as I wrote in my paper. In a similar fashion I forecasted some important political changes in the government, significant trends in the economic situation, the tendencies of the economic crisis that hit Bulgaria lately and so on. All these predictions have been published in the Bulgarian press over the years and the time shows that the proposed model for the chart of Bulgaria works reliably every time. So when the book “Introduction to Western Astrology” went out of print, it increased even further the interest to a Bulgarian born astrologer, who despite the fact that lives for many years abroad, does not forget his country of origin and contributes to the spiritual development of its people. Briefly about the book contents: Nowadays, almost everyone knows their zodiac sign. But how could millions of people around the globe fit in only twelve general descriptions? The interpretations of your sign that you can read in newspapers, magazines or the internet are based solely on your Sun sign alone. What also must be taken into account are the rising sign (or ascendant), the location of the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and other planets in signs and astrological houses, as well as the aspects that planets make to each other. There are about 300 such major astrological placements and aspects and they are all described in detail in this book. You can construct your own accurate personal natal astrology chart by combining texts from the book, which are relevant to you only. You will not need the services of a professional astrologer neither you need to have any prior knowledge of astrology in order to do that. This book will teach you how to put together your own horoscopes as well as those of your parents, children, friends and colleagues.
