Welcome to my Engineering Website

My name is Lubomir Tchervenkov. The surname is pronounced in a similar fashion to the name of the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky. Anyway, you can call me simply ‘Lubo’.

I was born and raised in Bulgaria. I was an international student in Russia for five and a half years. There I completed my Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Then, I worked for several years in Malta. Since 1998, I live in Perth, Western Australia. I have qualifications in electrical engineering, electronics, information technology, business and education. Detailed information is given in my Resume.

For many years I worked as a service engineer in industry. However, my professional life in Australia was dedicated mainly to lecturing. For this reason, I decided to enrol at Edith Cowan University in Perth, where I completed my second Master’s Degree (in Education) in 2012.

I am also the author of four books. The first one is dedicated to industrial electronics and it was published in Perth, Western Australia. The other three books are related to astrology and are published in Sofia, Bulgaria. Astrology is a big passion of mine and I have been practicing this ancient science for many years. More information about my books is given here.

On this website you can find plenty of free study materials. Most of them are related to the electrotechnology and to electronics. They are uploaded here to help anyone, studying for tests and/or preparing assignments in some electrical or electronic, engineering subjects. Those are not official tests. They are merely learning aids, which I have prepared in order to help students in their studies for the real tests. There are also plenty of free assignments, which can be used  by both TAFE lecturers and TAFE students, who are engaged in the relevant units of competency.

The purpose of this website is to give people an insight about my personal background, my life and what I used to do for over 10 years in my professional capacity, while I was still employed as a TAFE lecturer in Perth, Western Australia. I will be glad, if this website serves as an inspiration to other educators, in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. I also hope that it will be of benefit to students.

The learning and teaching materials placed here are free of charge, so they can be useful to anybody, who is teaching or undertaking studies in the electrotechnology disciplines. A lot of the teaching materials given here can be easily adapted to suit a whole range of teaching courses, units and subjects. Feel free to use them. Please, don’t forget to come back again, as more teaching aids will be placed here on a regular basis.

I hope that you find my website informative and helpful and that you learn much from it!

Wishing you all the best,
